Itt jó minőségben látható a Derby döntő. Szerintem nem ütés látható a második egyenes végén. Drogba egyenesen futna tovább, míg T.jack hamarabb kezdene behúzódni a belső ívre. Később sincs semmi jele az agressziónak. Sokszor megnéztem egymás után, nekem ez a véleményem. /mint a török gp.-n Vettel és webber/

Tavaly a gelsenkirchkeni "eb" barátság futamának döntőjét vártuk a nyergelőbe, míg szólították az épp hiányzó helyi terminátort, aki csak nem akart megérkezni. Kis idő múlva eltűntek a funkcionáriusok is. Négyen kutyával sorsolásra várva álldogáltunk, mikor valaki odaszólt, a döntő elmarad a sötét miatt. 22 óra 30kor szólítottak a díjátadásra, de nem mentem el. A tavalyi év "legrangosabb" FCI -s rendezvényén történt mindez.

Showmanship won, even if resolution was suspect
MARKS for showmanship: 11 out of 10. This year’s Derby final provided the most pulsating finish ever. Two lengths covering the field, and anyone who backed anything had a shout at some stage.
But what actuallyhappened?
Many fingers understandably pointed at Toomaline Jack after the race, and you have to accept that he did not look good as he leaned in towards Lyreen Mover close home. But that’s a tad simplistic. Lyreen Mover, in my view, is a spoiler, jealous if you prefer. He has pace, gets to the front, and, in my mind growls Hungarian curses at anything that approaches!
He is a winner, so hard to beat, and ran his heart out.
It worked atthe first bend, when he effectively forced Toomaline Jack to move off – so ending the chance of Adageo (going tremendously well until carted very wide).
And then at the third, it was the proverbial six of one, half a dozen of the other. Toomaline Jack found the Hungarian dog a real brute. They crowded, and then the fed up Toomaline Jack ‘growled’ back . . . Ginger McGee must have thought the Derby was his on a charity plate.
Oran Classic, running his best race this year, travelled well throughout, but when given his chance, he too found his path blocked – as did Krug Ninety Five (hammered at the boxes by Bandicoot Tipoki).
Bandicoot Tipoki, who had seemed most thrown by the raucous atmosphere on parade – a Cremin bookies’ pitch high in the first bend would have unwisely knocked his price out – missed it.
It turned out the best policy, and he blindsided Lyreen Mover, getting up the long run-in on his inside when the Hungarian was beating off all rivals on his outer. Wimbledon’s keeping the trip to 480m proved crucial.
In a split second, race over, the Pokie had got up, Lyreen Mover was a gallant runner-up and Toomaline Jack, relegated to fifth, has the ferocious Hungarian to blame.
Yes, the favourite could have won, but didn’t because his temperament was put under pressure by a fast up and relentless rival. That’s the test of a Derby.
It was disappointing for his fans, but Dolores Ruth, such a joy throughout and wonderful ambassador for Ireland and greyhound racing, knows the score and that’s racing.
Charlie, of course, got his dog showing real stamina throughout – something he didn’t have last year and then his class and determination got him home.
He is a proper dog, and a true champ for the Derby king – who, like the Pokie, hates losing. Fair play to him, Ian Sutherland who paraded him, Charlie’s partner Pat Cartledge, and breeders Ann and Pat Callanan – watching back at Thurles track.
And of course Ray White, the owner, was still pinching himself hours later. He dared not believe Bandicoot Tipoki had somehow managed it, but he had. Ray will go home, watch the tape, and still be surprised.
Congratulations to all involved.

I know I loved the 2010 Derby, and our appreciation goes to the Irish and Hungarians for making it so special. And well done Charlie.

Two thrilling battles here, between the front two, and also for thridplace between Farloe Skywalker and Sevenheads Bay. Hungarian raider Lyreen Mover has exceptional pace up and though Bandicoot Tipoki led (4.82), Lyreen Mover forced his way up the inside at the turn and pushed Bandicoot Tipoki out - which prompted a concertina effect as the field were bumped. Tyrur Speedy had been left. Sevenheads Bay and Farloe Skywalker ended up in their own battle for survival, with Sevenheads Bay holding a narrow advantage until crowding behind Bandicoot Tipoki at the third, which gave Farloe Skywalker the edge. The pup, who has ran with great heart throughout, gives Matt Dartnall two into the semis.
